mancha_sama and I have embarked on another collaborative writing project and we need YOU. Well, maybe not you, you, but a couple of you.
What we need:
Someone willing and able to give in depth feedback on readability, plot, characterization, continuity, and such. We're not too interested in grammar/typo feedback at this point, but if you find something you want to comment on anyway, feel free. Concrit is fine with us.
The Specifics:
Fandom: Final Fantasy VII
Spoiler Alert: Storyline makes heavy use of Before Crisis, Crisis Core, and Advent Children Complete. May also eventually include references to Dirge of Cerberus.
Pairings: Established Zack/Aerith, Eventual Sephiroth/Cloud, Possible Genesis/Vincent
Genre: Time Travel, Action/Adventure, Humor, Angst, Drama, Tragedy, Romance somewhere in there.
Current Completion Level:
Currently there are nine chapters done, and entering the first stage of editing. Your reading would fall under “stage two” of the editing process. At this point in time we have a sum total of twenty-eight chapters planned, although that is nowhere near the end of the story.
Time Frame:
As we're doing this storyline mostly for fun rather than “profit” its slow going, so you won't have to be reading over a chapter every few days or something. It'll be a relaxed, slow process, and we won't be ready to post this story for awhile yet, but we'd like to get some fresh eyes in for the editing process.
We're looking for one or two people who are interested in performing this “beta” reading for us, so if you're interested please post here so that we may enter a dialogue with you, or something. :)

Nov. 15th, 2010 08:41 amI am currently doing research for an original writing. This is an interesting experience, because while I research for my fanfics, I certainly don't go through the same effort I am now.

Oct. 24th, 2010 10:28 amI think this little hiatus I'm on is doing me good. To be honest, I probably burned myself out. That seems to be a pattern or me: Several months of nonstop writing followed by a few months of taking a break. XD
This time, though, I've gone off on a crazy video game and art kick. Haha.
I'm playing Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep now. So far, I'm playing Terra's Story first, and I've learned this: Aqua is hot, Terra is an idiot (When they say slow on his character profile, I thought they meant speed wise, not brain power!) and more gullible than Sora, and Ventus is cool with his holding the keyblade backwards thing. Oh, and I DON'T KNOW WTF IS GOING ON IN THIS SERIES.
Geeze, I'm telling you the Hook for Kingdom Hearts is that they never give you a straight answer about wtf is going on. Gah.
Anyway, I'm having fun with it, and in the meantime stockpiling Doujin my friends are sending me for reading once I'm ready to get back to writing so I'll have something to get me all WHOO KAISHIN again. Never fear, it might take me awhile, but I have no plans to abandon my fics nor the DC fandom.
I am sorry for the wait, though. I dislike having to wait for fic to be updated myself, which is why I try to update as quickly as I can, but what can y'do?

Just finished beating Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (in a five day marathon, mind.), and I cried a lot... So many things made me tear up, and then the end... the end oh god. So much crying. I still keep tearing up and crying a bit. Fuuuu--

Sep. 30th, 2010 10:59 amHave started on Twilight Princess again, now. Had to take it slower than the other's because of headaches and whatnot, but I'm already through the first two dungeons.
In other news, if you haven't seen it yet checking out This amazing piece of fanart for Pestilence byambitiousgeek.
And, I'd like to toss out an apology for lack of updates on anything recently, and reassure you all that, no matter what, it's unlikely I'll abandon the fandom or my fics.
If you don't believe me, well... I realized recently I have been working on Pestilence for right about a year by now. :P It may take sometime, but I'll keep trucking... just be patient with me, mmkay?

Still Alive
Sep. 21st, 2010 06:16 pmJust decided I ought to make a post, since there's been a long time of radio silence, so to speak. No, I'm not dead. I'm just amusing myself and taking a break from working on my DC fic at the moment. As much as I love the series and characters, it can get tedious.
But, I did beat The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask today. For the first time, too. Even though I've had it for years. I always stalled out at the Great Bay Temple. I hate that place! /rage
The irony of it is that I beat all of the temples in thee RL days, then beat Majora today, the fourth day of play. Yes, I am easily amused.
I plan to replay Twilight Princess sometime in the near future, but not quite yet. I think I need a break after that little marathon...

Bitsy, aka Old Ass Cat, kicked the bucket this morning. I'm not nearly as torn up as I probably ought to be. Honestly, we'd seen it coming years ago. The cat was going to be 18 in October, for crying out loud.
Still, we got that cat when I was 3 years old from a relatives farm. Brought her home in a milk crate on the floor of the truck. I still vividly remember the hanging carcasses of pigs in the barn, the kittens, and my attempts to name her Sylvester because she was black and white-- though not at all like Sylvester, mind.
Good times, good times. Apparently all of her siblings/family died ages ago from various farm related incidences such as disappearing, disappearing, and disappearing.
She had a good life, far out lived her sibs at anyrate. So, yeah, and then there were three-- and two dogs, but who's counting?

Aug. 17th, 2010 09:49 amI had a horrible, horrible nightmare dream last night. It was even worse than the time I dreamed I couldn't find my eraser!
D: I dreamed that it was announced that there would be one more Kaitou Kid chapter to wrap up his storyline and then there would be no more Kid. And, like, DC wasn't even near an end yet either. It was just, like, retiring Kid.
There was even a Dramatic No in there for effect. Really, really, awful dream. I think Kid is torturing me. It's probably because I've been drawing Pokemon and YuGiOh fanart. Damn it, Kid, I don't remember that contract I signed saying I couldn't dabble in other fandoms. >[
