Did anyone else find the latest Case in DC more ridiculous than usual?

I mean, the way Kogorou got darted was ridiculous. Apparently he's starting to learn, though, but it was still ridiculous. But, then, we've come to expect some ridiculousness from him.

But, not just that... The murder itself was utterly ridiculous and far more complex than usual, and the motive was even more petty than usual. Sure, sometimes people are petty, but wow. What a stupid cow. O_o

Well, at least the end of the chapter was cute? >_>

Didn't quite make up for the missed ShinRan chances in the Rooster Festival murders, but, hey, it was still pretty nice. (Poor Takagi XD)

Petty? Really? I'd found it rather affecting--she'd obviously been completely devoted to her boyfriend, who killed himself out of complete fanboy adulation over their mentor. The mentor's actions, sure, those were petty. But the woman had been stewing over this for YEARS--and, given his psychosomatic reaction to sour things, so had the mentor. Even if nobody else blamed him for the suicide, the most important people in the case did, and that was ending their personal worlds.

I found it completely silly and petty that she blamed him for her boyfriend who was apparently screwed up enough to suicide over being told, one time, that his food was 'too sour'. In a normal, rational, human being I think the reaction to that would be to try and fix the problem with the food, not to run off and commit suicide. Then, to blame the man for her boyfriend's apparent mental problems seems rather stupid to me as well.

It, honestly, reminded me a lot of those writers (or artists) who, after getting one bad comment, suddenly freak out and decide they will "never ever write/draw again".

I don't know. You might have read it different than me, but it all seemed absolutely foolish to me.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it so ridiculous. I couldn't really concentrate much on the actual murder, which was pretty stupid, because I was so utterly dumbfounded that her boyfriend had killed himself over such a petty comment!

As far as Kogoro goes, I think it was one of those things that is so stupid that it's funny. I love it when he really starts using his brain, but it's hilarious that most of the times he actually does, he still ends up in a silly, stupid situation.

The ending was pretty cute. I love Eri's and Miwako's reactions. xD

Seriously. I wanted to headwall so hard over the motive for the murder. XD I was just dumbfounded and like "...You killed him because of that?!"

XD I also really loved watching Conan freak out at the end to get Ran her gift. It's so much fun when he's flustered.
